Project Case
Shanxi Taiyuan Binhe Sports Center – Table Tennis Lighting System
Taiyuan Binhe Sports Center is one of the premier indoor sports venues in Shanxi Province and served as an official competition venue for the 2019 Second National Youth Games. The venue hosted the table tennis competition, requiring a professional lighting system with high visual performance and HDTV broadcast capability.
Table tennis is one of the most lighting-sensitive indoor sports. The small, high-speed ball, rapid player movement, and close-up television coverage demand exceptionally high illuminance, uniformity, glare control, and flicker-free performance.
Project Overview
Lighting Requirements
Compared with many indoor sports, table tennis places higher demands on lighting precision. The ball is small and moves quickly, while cameras often capture close-up shots from multiple angles. This makes uniform brightness, controlled glare, and flicker-free output essential for both athletes and broadcasters.
- Professional-level competition lighting for indoor table tennis.
- HDTV broadcast capability for official event coverage.
- High illuminance to support fast ball tracking and player visibility.
- High uniformity across the playing area and surrounding zones.
- Glare control for player comfort and referee observation.
- Flicker-free performance for stable television and camera imaging.
